  • The journal retracts the article (https://doi.org/10.3934/mbe.2022384) [1] in agreement with the Editor-in-Chief.

    Concerns were raised that the Western blot bands presented in Figure 3B and Figure 5C were duplicates from other articles by the unrelated research groups. Specifically,

    -Figure 3B appears highly similar to Figure 3(d) from Sun et al. 2020 (https://doi.org/10.1155/2020/6403012) and Figure 2(b) from Zhang et al. 2019 (https://doi.org/10.1155/2019/8186091).

    -Figure 5C appears highly similar to Figure 4B (U-2 OS) from Liang et al. 2022 (https://doi.org/10.1155/2022/5039134).

    An investigation was conducted that confirmed the overlap of the images. The authors failed to provide a satisfying explanation. Accordingly, the above concerns call into question the falsification and reliability of the presented data. In consultation with the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial office has concluded that this article should be retracted.

    The authors have been informed of the decision to retract the article.
