Manuscript Topics
We invite researchers, academicians, and practitioners to contribute to a special issue focused on the supervision, training and guidance of high degree students (e.g., master's and doctoral candidates) and early career researchers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines. This special issue aims to explore the successes, lessons learned, and innovative paradigms in mentoring and supporting the next generation of STEM researchers. We welcome original research papers, case studies, and review articles that address the following topics:
- Effective mentoring strategies for high degree students and early career researchers in STEM.
- Case studies highlighting successful research supervision experiences.
- Challenges encountered in guiding STEM researchers and lessons derived from those challenges.
- Innovative approaches and paradigms in research supervision.
- Impact of mentorship on the career development of STEM researchers.
- Interdisciplinary collaborations in research supervision.
- Research training and supervision in diverse settings involving diversity in religion, culture, language and other differences.
- Explore the influence of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in training and supervision of research students in STEM, and the career development of STEM researchers.
- Experience in and insight into preparation of research publications, editorial processes of academic journals, choosing appropriate and reputable publishers and journals, handling revision and responses, etc.
