Many approaches in Computational Biophysics and Bioinformatics have been developed and widely used to study important biology problems, such as biomolecule structure predictions, simulations of biomolecules, protein-protein/DNA/RNA interactions, disease related studies, etc. Many efforts have been made to develop and improve the Computational Biophysics and Bioinformatics approaches by implementing cutting edge techniques such as Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, etc. To keep up with the progresses made in the area of Computational Biophysics and Bioinformatics, we organize this special issue about the Recent development and applications in Computational Biophysics and Bioinformatics. Research articles and high-quality review articles are welcome for this special issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

• Human health related studies (research articles on COVID-19 are highly encouraged)
• Structure predictions of biomolecules
• Machine learning and data mining in Computational Biophysics and Bioinformatics
• Biomolecule-related software or database development
• Algorithms, analysis and validation for biomolecular data
• Protein-protein/DNA/RNA interactions
• Prediction of protein-ligand interaction energies
• Drug design
