Manuscript Topics

Recent advances in digital technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), and bioengineering are collectively reshaping the field of oral health sciences. Digital dentistry, encompassing tools such as intraoral scanning, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT), computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and three-dimensional (3D) printing, has enabled the development of precise, minimally invasive, patient-specific virtual models. Concurrently, AI and machine learning algorithms have rapidly been integrated into dental diagnostics and clinical workflows, enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making processes. Parallel innovations in bioengineering and neural sciences—including tissue regeneration, brain-computer interfaces, and advanced prosthodontic systems—are transforming oral rehabilitation paradigms. The convergence of these disciplines heralds a new era of digitally enhanced, biologically sophisticated oral health care. This Special Issue aims to capture emerging knowledge, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and promote cutting-edge research at the intersection of digital dentistry, AI, and bioengineering, with a view to advancing the future of oral health sciences.
