Manuscript Topics

Background: The field of large-scale agent systems is experiencing an explosion of real-world applications, placing it at the forefront of modern research. Its scope now dramatically exceeds the limitations of traditional mean-field theories in particle systems. This Special Issue is essential because it captures both the interdisciplinary breadth and the critical mathematical innovations driving this domain. We seek contributions around modeling and control problems, including theoretical results, numerical methods, scientific computing, and applications. We aim at bringing together cutting-edge work that utilizes new paradigms like multiple-wise interactions to solve complex problems in social sciences (traffic modeling), biology (chemotaxis), economics, data science, and artificial intelligence.

A primary aim of this Special Issue is to establish a novel, cross-disciplinary dialogue by uniting experts from diverse thematic and technical backgrounds. The selection of contributions is deliberately structured to foster deep intellectual debate and synthesis, moving beyond siloed disciplinary approaches. This curated compilation will therefore serve as a vital nexus, creating a cohesive body of work that addresses complex, shared challenges through a rich convergence of perspectives and technical cultures.

Both original research articles and comprehensive reviews are welcome.
