Invitation to submit an original research article, opinion paper or review article for a special issue of AIMS Environmental Science:

Theme: Sustainable Water Resources—Special Issue on the Future of Our Water Resources

Introduction of the special issue:

Our environmental and source waters are continuously under threat from contaminants emanating from a variety of sources including agricultural, urban, and industrial areas. Additional challenges including population growth, climate change, and extreme events further threaten the integrity of these waters. Demands associated with the food and energy sectors put additional pressures on the waters.
We invite submissions of original research articles, opinion papers, or review articles that shed light on the future of our water resource systems addressing issues related to water quality including: current and anticipated trends; solutions for water quality management; new/improved methods for assessment, evaluation, monitoring, and protection; water re-use; sustainability at the food-energy-water nexus; socio-economic aspects of water quality improvements; and translating research to policy. Issues may be addressed at any level including but not limited to local, basin, regional, national, or transboundary levels.

Instruction for Authors :
