Manuscript Topics
In the new era of Biomedical Informatics applications several assessments tools are offered to clinicians, for multidimensional diagnostic processes and the identification of functional and pathophysiological impairments. Using Geriatrics Programs, Decision Support Systems, Expert Systems or Bayesian Networks scientists can apply interdisciplinary assessment scales in order to recognize chronic diseases, functional disabilities or other risk factors and comorbidities targeting between and within the human body systems: Cardiovascular, Central Nervous System, Endocrine system, Gastrointestinal, Genitourinary, Hematologic, Immune system, Peripheral Nervous System, Pulmonary, Regulation etc. While in most of the Neurodegenerative disorders there are no holistic medication treatments, prognosis, early diagnosis and sophisticated management of the diseases are alternative treatment solutions that Biomedical Informatics can offer to clinicians and medical researchers.

The purpose of this Special Issue is to highlight in depth the latest Biomedical Informatics Solutions against Neurodegeneration and presenting state-of-the-art original research articles, reviews, case study, methods, hypothesis/theory, opinions and letters and commentary.
