Manuscript Topics
With the development of ubiquitous networks, the integration of wired/wireless communication in control systems have the advantages of enhanced flexibility, higher mobility, and increased modularity. Networked Control Systems (NCSs) are systems, whose signals among components (sensors, controllers, and actuators) are interconnected over communication networks. NCSs have a broad range of applications in industrial automation, space exploration, robotics, smart transportation, intelligent building, autonomous vehicle, health care, power grid, and signal processing. Although the research topic of NCSs has been studied for decades, there are still many challenging issues in communication network (limited bandwidth, time delay, packet loss, cyber-attack), dynamic system (modeling uncertainties, disturbance and noise, nonlinearity), control (stability, new analysis, design tools), and application (sensor networks, cyber-physical systems, transportation networks, multi-agent systems). This special issue will focus on the analysis, control, and applications of NCSs, including theoretical developments, experimental, and/or application research.

We invite authors to contribute original research articles that address both theoretical and application-oriented challenges in the area of NCSs. Articles with creative work in analysis methods, control methods, and applications of NCSs are very welcome. Topics of potential interest include, but are not limited to:

• NCSs with multi-packet transmission
• NCSs with transmission delays and packet dropout
• NCSs with nonlinearity
• Modeling and architecture of NCSs
• Cyber-attacks in communication of NCSs
• Event-triggered and self-triggered NCSs
• Network-based filtering
• Distributed estimation and control in NCSs
• NCSs using artificial intelligence
• Wireless sensor and actuator network
• Networked robotic control systems
• NCSs in factory and building automation
• Coordination and cooperative control via networks
• All applications of NCSs

Paper submission 
All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication.
The deadline for manuscript submission is 31 October 2018
