Manuscript Topics

Tourism has become a huge industry and represents now a very important part of every country’s wellbeing, namely of developing countries, is vital for the success of many economies, and supports the lives of millions of people all over the world, bringing to them joy.

Host destinations get several benefits from tourism. Tourism brings an influx of income and wealth beneficial for all countries and namely for developing ones, creates a multitude of job opportunities for domestic people, supports construction and improvement of infrastructure, such as roads, schools, hospitals, highways, airports. Moreover, it can strengthen the pride feeling for traditions of the local communities as well as stimulate the wish to travel to a country to learn about its life, history, culture and enjoy its landscape, with the awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, and offer opportunities for local businesses through the money that the tourists bring in.

This Special Issue welcomes revised and extended papers on tourism presented at the Invited Paper session of the World ISI Conference held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2019, at the VIII International Tourism, Economy and Environment Congress held in Almeria, Spain, in 2019, and at the seminars and workshops held by the Spanish-Chinese-Italian research group on sustainable tourism and the environment in the Faculties of Tourism and Social Sciences of Malaga and Cuenca, Spain, in the Department of Statistics of the University of Florence and in the University of Sassari, Italy and in the School of Statistics of Renmin University, Beijing, China.
