Manuscript Topics

Advanced airworthiness technology, serving as the core support for ensuring safe aircraft operations and promoting sustainable development of the aviation industry, has significantly enhanced research interest in intelligent airworthiness certification methods and related science and technology. Advanced Airworthiness Application Science and Technology, with its systematic framework, multi-level verification system, innovation potential, and interdisciplinary integration advantages, has become the preferred choice for emerging aircraft (such as eVTOL and UAV) airworthiness certification, digital transformation of aviation manufacturing enterprises, airworthiness talent cultivation programs, and smart civil aviation construction.

Currently, Advanced Airworthiness Application Science and Technology possesses extensive engineering application value, including aircraft full-life-cycle safety management, complex system reliability assessment, continued airworthiness risk monitoring, intelligent maintenance decision support, among others, and has been increasingly applied in practical applications such as new aircraft type certification, supply chain quality control, and operational risk early warning. AI-based airworthiness certification decision support, digital twin-driven compliance verification, big data-supported dynamic risk assessment, and intelligent verification platforms integrating cross-domain knowledge have made it possible to meet various airworthiness application needs.
This Special Issue cordially invites submissions of original research papers or review articles to explore the latest research advances in Advanced Airworthiness Application Science and Technology, including but not limited to the following directions:

• New methods for intelligent formulation of airworthiness standards and compliance verification for emerging aircraft such as eVTOL and UAVs
• AI/ML-based intelligent decision support systems and automated verification technologies for airworthiness certification
• New data-driven methods for flight test optimization, continued airworthiness monitoring, and risk assessment
• Full-life-cycle digital twin modeling and intelligent Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) technologies for aircraft
• Deep integration and application of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain in airworthiness engineering

We look forward to your contributions in advancing the field of intelligent aerospace!
