Manuscript Topics
Diophantine problems are among the oldest and most profound in mathematics. Given a polynomial equation with integer coefficients, does it have any solutions where the unknowns are integers (or rational numbers)? Diophantine problems are a beautiful and challenging intersection of ancient questions and the most modern mathematical ideas, linking pure theory with tangible applications and pushing the boundaries of human knowledge.
The purpose of this special issue is to share some modern results and developments in the profound world of number theory focusing on Diophantine problems and related topics, to bring inspirations in methods or ideas, whether modern or classic. Specifically, we look forward to receiving papers covering the following research topics; however, we also welcome other innovative and promising works.
Diophantine equations, Diophantine approximations, Continued fractions, Determinants, Matrices, Bernoulli and Euler numbers, Stirling numbers, zeta functions, multiple zeta values, L-functions, Fibonacci numbers, Numerical semigroups, q-series and q-calculus, Enumerative combinatorics, Congruences, Radix representation, Recurrences, Generating functions, Binomial coefficients.
