Manuscript Topics

Nonlinear control theory has long played a central role in the analysis and design of complex dynamical systems arising in engineering, natural sciences, and emerging technological applications. In recent years, increasing system complexity, uncertainty, interconnection, and performance requirements have stimulated significant advances in nonlinear control methodologies, including stability analysis, robust and adaptive control, networked and distributed systems, and data-driven approaches. At the same time, the rapid development of application domains such as robotics, autonomous systems, power and energy networks, and aerospace engineering has posed new theoretical and computational challenges that demand innovative control strategies.

The aim of this special issue is to bring together recent theoretical developments and practical applications in nonlinear control, providing a platform for researchers to present novel analytical results and computational methods. Contributions addressing fundamental issues as well as interdisciplinary and application-oriented studies are welcome, with the goal of fostering interaction between theory and practice and highlighting current trends and future directions in nonlinear control theory and its applications.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Nonlinear stability theory and Lyapunov-based methods
- Adaptive and robust nonlinear control
- Nonlinear control under uncertainty
- Control systems with state and input constraints
- Control of networked and multi-agent systems
- The turnpike phenomenon in nonlinear optimal control
- Control in robotics and autonomous systems
- Aerospace systems and flight control
- Power systems, energy networks, and smart grids
