Manuscript Topics
Special functions are important and useful in mathematics, physics and applied sciences. During the past few decades, great advances have been made in researches about special functions, q-series and experimental mathematics. In order to promote further investigations between these fast-growing mathematical fields, AIMS Mathematics is launching a Special Issue “Special Functions and q-Series”, that will cover the following interdisciplinary topics among special functions, basic hypergeometric series (q-series) and their applications:
• Combinatorial analysis, computations and identities.
• Harmonic numbers and related infinite series evaluations.
• Number/polynomial sequences and other mathematical constants.
• Hypergeometric series: summation formulae and transformations.
• Ramanujan and Guillera’s infinite series representations for “π”.
• Special functions, orthogonal polynomials and applications.
• Classical partitions and Rogers-Ramanujan identities.
• Jacobi theta functions and Ramanujan’s congruences on partitions.
• Q-series:computations and applications
• Symbolic calculus and WZ-method.
