Manuscript Topics
After several decades of history of asymptotic methods for integrals and applications to special functions, they remain an active field of study nowadays. This Special Issue will be devoted to both, the theory and applications of asymptotic methods for integrals; with specially attention to those that are applied to integral transform or that have potential applications in the approximation of special functions. We invite papers on topics in both mathematics and sciences, where asymptotic expansions of integrals and its applications to precise scientific problems play an important role. Although the main emphasis will be made on the design of precise methods, and on their applications to special functions and integral transforms, papers related to the fundamental theory, revision of known methods, theoretical aspects, relations to other mathematical areas or applications to precise scientific problems are also welcome.
