Modern differential geometry of submanifolds (with applications in natural sciences, computer science and engineering) has several aspects:
• local properties and the so-called global differential geometry,
• extrinsic and intrinsic differential geometry,
• extrinsic differential geometry of foliations,
• regular submanifolds and with singularities,
• submanifolds in spaces with additional structures: Riemannian, metric-affine, Finsler, etc.
The purpose of this Special Issue is to bring mathematicians together with other scientists, for whom differential geometry of submanifolds and foliations is a valuable research tool. The guest editor is requesting articles that address these complex issues in the language of mathematics.
