Manuscript Topics
We all know that number theory and combination are two very important branches of pure mathematics, their research work not only has important theoretical significance, but also has wide application value. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct in-depth and systematic research in these and related fields.
This special issue will focus on some important number theory and combinatorial problems, such as symmetric functions, orthogonal polynomials, structure theory, power residues, the estimations for various exponential sums and character sums, and so on. This project will make substantial progress or completely solve some classical number theory or combinatorial problems.
The aim of this special issue is to obtain some new progress for the high-th power mean of the character sums and two-term exponential sums, and give some exact calculating formulae or sharp asymptotic formulae for the hybrid power mean involving the classical Gauss sums, Dedekind sums and special exponential sums.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the followings:
● Character sums and their various properties
● Exponential sums and their applications
● Prime distributions
● Quadratic residues and primitive roots
● Waring problems and partitions of integers
● Combinatorial identities and inequalities
● Exact enumeration problems and generating functions
● Combinatorial problem concerning the classical groups
