The new journal AIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering
With the occasion of launching the new journal AIMS Electronics and Electrical Engineering, AIMS Press has invited Prof. Harry Leib to the position of Editor-in-Chief.
Prof. Harry Leib received the B.Sc. (cum laude) and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel in 1977 and 1984 respectively. In 1987 he received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada. After completing his Ph.D. studies, he was with the University of Toronto as a Post-doctoral Research Associate and as an Assistant Professor. Since September 1989 he has been with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, where he is now a Full Professor. At McGill, he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in Communications as well as Probability Theory, and directs the research of graduate students. His current research activities are in the areas of Digital Communications, Wireless Communication Systems, Detection, Estimation, and Information Theory.
Prof. Leib was an Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Communications 2000-2013, and an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology 2001-2007. He has been a guest co-editor for special issues of the IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communication on “Differential and Noncoherent Wireless Communication” 2003-2005, and on “Spectrum and Energy Efficient Design of Wireless Communication Networks” 2012-2013.

This is the first AIMS periodical that is entirely dedicated to Electronics and Electrical Engineering, and as such I am proud to be part of the founding editorial board. With the help of such an expert editorial board, that includes members of highest international reputation, I am confident that we can make this journal to be one of the premier publications in the field.”
