The changing nature of work is having a profound impact on human health and safety. Given its direct consequences on worker well-being and the productivity of industries, occupational health and safety is a critical research area. This field encompasses the investigation of potential hazards in the workplace, ranging from physical risks to psychological stressors, and developing strategies to mitigate these risks. Research in this field is essential for informing policy-making, designing safer work environments, and promoting the health and safety rights of workers. In light of the rapidly evolving work landscape, characterized by emerging technologies and changing work patterns, continuous occupational health and safety research is crucial for anticipating new challenges and safeguarding the workforce’s protection and well-being. I invite researchers to submit their work to this special issue.
