Manuscript Topics

Memory, learning, information processing, input-output responses, are all brain activities depending on synapic activity in the brain. The role of the synaptic studies in neuroscience is then of crucial importance. The brain activity fully depends on the complex integration of the neuronal circuits which, in turns depends on the synaptic transfer of information among the neurons operated by thousands of excitatory and inhibitory synapses on each single neuron. This important role has promoted a huge amount of research which furnish a huge amount of experimental data and biologically plausible models of the synaptic activity. Combination of researches ranging from the molecular aspects of synaptic transmission, synaptic integration, information processing by synaptic transmission, synaptic functions on the single neuron activity, synaptic integration in network of neurons, pharmacological interaction of drugs and synaptic activity, can give a substantial support in the researches to solve problems of severe illness as Alzheimer, Dementia, Parkinson and many others brain disorders.
The present special issue is intended to collect papers concerning the present state of art of the research on synaptic transmission at any level and with any method from the experimental to the computational neuroscience.
