Manuscript Topics
AIMS Neuroscience is requesting paper submissions for our Semtember issue. Manuscripts will need to be received by 29 August 2016, and decisions on acceptance will be completed by 29 September. The aim of this special issue is to explore the role of the hippocampus in memory. Research on the hippocampus and medial temporal cortex in memory has been extensive. The hippocampus has been proposed as both a storage location and as promoting the gradual integration of newly acquired information into cortical association networks via binding, reactivating, and strengthening connections. What are the current theories and how do these fit with long-term cortical memory storage?
