Manuscript Topics
Prokaryotes such as bacteria have coexisted with mammals including humans. Some of these have mutually beneficial relationships with the human host, while others are pathogenic. Understanding the pathophysiology of these diseases is important for their management. In this special issue we invite manuscript submissions (full length articles or short communications describing original research and review articles) addressing one or more of the following topics:
• Use of artificial intelligence in diagnostics for and designing treatment regimens against bacterial pathogens
• Approaches to understand the pathophysiology of bacterial infectious diseases including but not limited to biochemical, microbiological, molecular biology and genetic approaches, gut microbiome etc
• Elucidations of pathways involved in the pathophysiology of bacterial infectious diseases
• Discovery of new antibiotics or antibacterial compounds
