Topical Section: One-Health and Microorganisms
Globalization has brought people closer together, but it also lays new hidden health dangers. With the continuous advancement of globalization, the relationship between humans, animals, plants, and the natural environment is changing under the intervention of some factors. The concept of "One Health" emphasizes that human health and well-being are not isolated, but are inseparable from the health of other ecosystem components such as soil, plants, and animals. We are gradually realizing that microorganisms are crucial in "One Health" as they connect each of these components, and the health of ecosystems largely depends on the contribution of microbial communities.
In this topic, we aim to present recent advances in research concerning One Health.
Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:
1. Linkage of environmental microbiota with the health
2. The migration, colonization, and function of microbes in the environment-host interaction
3.The transmission, detection, and prevention of infectious diseases
4. Food safety
5. Antimicrobial resistance
