Manuscript Topics
A number of bacteria use humans as their host. Some of these bacteria are beneficial to the host, while others are harmful and cause diseases. Detection of bacteria and understanding the pathophysiology of their interactions with the host are crucial for the management of various diseases and for maintaining our health. In this special issue we invite manuscript submissions (full length articles or short communications describing original research and review articles) addressing one or more of the following topics:
• Diagnostic methods for rapid detection of bacterial pathogens
• Discovery of new antibiotics or antibacterial compounds
• Mechanisms involved in the interaction of human bacterial pathogens with host
• New approaches against bacterial pathogens, e.g. gut microbiome, genetic approaches etc
