Manuscript Topics
The complexity of the biowastes need to be cost effectively convert to bioenergy and bioproducts in an environment friendly manner. This special issue calls for papers on the feedstock logistics, techno-economics, and conversion technology for producing bioenergy and bioproducts from biowastes, including both traditional and non-traditional feedstocks, such as municipal solid wastes and food wastes etc. Blending of such waste streams with lignocellulosic feedstocks will also be accepted providing the benefits of such strategy to enhance transportation logistics, overall feedstock economic as well as abate GHG emissions. Thus. we are pleased to invite you to contribute a review or research paper related to the special issue "Sustainable Bioenergy and Bioproducts from Biowastes". The manuscript may report experimental results, theoretical analysis, modelling, and technical review. This special issue aims to include manuscripts on the following topics, but not limited to :
• Thermochemical and biochemical conversion of municipal solid wastes
• Blending of energy crops with municipal solid wastes and food wastes
• Co-processing of wastes (hydrothermal carbonization, pyrolysis, gasification, anaerobic digestion, etc.) for bioenergy, biofuels, and products
• Techno-economic and environmental aspects of waste-to-energy
Prof. Bin Yang (Washington State University, U.S.), Prof. Jian Shi (University of Kentucky, U.S.) and Dr. Allison E. Ray (Idaho National Laboratory, U.S.) would manage the SI as Guest Editors. Contributory authors are invited to submit the research manuscripts.
