Manuscript Topics

We intend to invite top researchers and authors to submit original research or comprehensive review articles for consideration for publication in a special issue “Recent Advances in Metabolic Engineering” in the AIMS Bioengineering. These articles will be published in AIMS Bioengineering open access free of charge. Submitted papers should not have been previously published nor be currently under consideration for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed before their acceptance for publication.

Examples of the topics include but not limited to the following
• New methodologies of metabolic engineering, particularly welcome contributions on genome editing
• Metabolic engineering for sustainability, including biofuel and biorefinery
• Metabolic engineering for health, food, and nutrition
• “Omics” and modelling guided metabolic engineering
• Interfacing metabolic engineering and synthetic biology
