Aim and Scope
The journal of AIMS Applied Computing and Intelligence (AIMS-ACI) is dedicated to publishing and advancing interdisciplinary research built on the platform of contemporary information and communication technologies for solving both theoretical and applied problems in almost every discipline in natural and social sciences. The journal fosters the open exchange of information by promoting the highest professional and ethical standards and explores issues and challenges involving problem-solving by computing in all areas. The technical domains include all computing paradigms in the broad areas of artificial intelligence, such as mathematical, statistical, intelligent, experimental, modelling and simulation, (distributed, cloud, or hybrid). The problem domains include (but not limited to)
● All branches in natural sciences, e.g., physics, chemistry, biology, materials, geosciences, and environment science;
● All research areas in artificial intelligence;
● All engineering disciplines, such as aviation, aerospace, automation, control, mechanical, civil, electrical, electronic, mechatronics, mining, and petroleum engineering;
● All industries and manufacturing;
● Multidisciplinary fields, such as nano-technologies, bioinformatics, quantum computing, and clean energy;
● Medical, pharmaceutical and healthcare applications;
● Business, economic, and financial applications;
● Decision making for organisations, institutions, corporations, and governments in management, forecasting, planning, and risk mitigation;
● Computing for social media, internet, and social network analytics;
● Computing for digital arts creation or traditional arts preservation;
● Education technology and online education optimization;
Articles in ACI will meet the definition of research and experimental development (R&D) aligned with the OECD’s Frascati Manual, which defines R&D as ‘creative and systematic work undertaken in order to increase the stock of knowledge – including knowledge of humankind, culture and society – and to devise new applications of available knowledge’ (OECD, 2015)*.
ACI welcomes submissions on computing and applications at all levels that involve applied research, intelligent research, theoretical research, experimental research or combinations, particularly the work targeting a new or challenging problem. All submissions will be peer-reviewed. In addition, ACI publishes special issues focusing on interested topics proposed by guest editors.
