Manuscript Topics
This special issue explores recent progress in understanding, modeling, and simulating complex systems across various fields. By connecting analytical methods, computational techniques, and multi-scale modeling, this issue invites contributions that offer new theoretical insights, innovative mathematical formulations, and simulation strategies for complex, nonlinear, and coupled systems. We welcome original research, review articles, and case studies on topics such as dynamical systems and bifurcation theory, perturbation methods and asymptotic analysis, continuum mechanics and field theories, geometric and variational formulations, statistical mechanics of interacting systems, and time-integration methods for stiff and chaotic systems. We also encourage papers that focus on clear applications in biological systems and neural dynamics, climate and environmental modeling, socio-economic and financial systems, and materials science and engineering systems with feedback and control.
