Manuscript Topics
The complex system modeling has attracted many scholars coming from different research fields. In particular mathematics, physics and information sciences are the main domains implicated in this topic. The modeling of a complex system requires a preliminary phenomenological analysis, a representation scale and a framework. A framework can be a set of algebraic or differential equations coming from mathematics and physics or an agent-based model coming from the information sciences.
This special issue aims at collecting the recent developments in the modeling of complex systems with special attention to living systems. In particular specific models and the numerical methods in order to simulate the systems are welcome.
The main applications refer, but are not limited, to: vehicular traffic, crowds and swarms dynamics, economic systems, social systems, biological systems, networks of energy sources.
