Manuscript Topics
In the last few decades flux-modulated electric machines have become a well-established research area. Usually, a non-conventional machine can always find its specific application with special advantages. This special issue will focus on the design, analysis, control and applications of flux-modulated electric machines. As the flux-modulated electric machines are playing a pivotal role in electric and mechanical energy conversion, a thorough understanding of their operating principles, design methods, analysis methods, control methods and applications will lead to a better comprehension of this research area.
We invite authors to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will illustrate and stimulate the continuing of the research and development on flux-modulated electric machines. Articles with creative work in operating principles, topologies, optimal design methods, analytical analysis methods, numerical analysis methods, control methods, and applications are very welcome.
Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
• Basic flux-modulated electric machines
• Flux-switching electric machines
• Reversal electric machines
• Vernier electric machines
• Doubly-fed electric machines
• Electric machines integrated with magnetic gears
• E-CVT systems
• Memory electric machines
