Manuscript Topics

The intersection of epidemic control, cost-effectiveness analysis, and other considerations such as health security and public health surveillance through electronic medical record systems are all of current relevance to international, global and public health concerns. This special issue looks at connections between these fields, using examples from field work in Africa and worldwide.  Specific topics addressed include the cost-effectiveness of combination HIV interventions in South Africa, electronic medical records in Kenya, training for health diplomacy and security in Nigeria, international bilateral HIV collaborations in Mozambique, and the contributions to be made by niche areas such as sports, music and spirituality to epidemic control and global health.
