Manuscript Topics
Preterm birth, delivery prior to 37 weeks’ gestation, is the leading cause of infant and early childhood death worldwide. Risk factors include biological and psychosocial characteristics. Efforts around the prevention of preterm birth focus on these areas as well, but largely at the clinical and individual level.
AIMS Public Health will publish a special issue on preterm birth. This issue will focus on advancing the population-based knowledge of preterm birth prevention through clinical, behavioral, or social sciences. All types of manuscripts will be considered, including reviews. Authors are encouraged to submit an abstract for initial review. Then guest editors will encourage a full submission, if appropriate.
