Manuscript Topics
The rise of obesity has been explained by dietary changes and parallel increases in the supply and consumption of high-energy but low-nutrient foods. Over the past three decades, trends show increases in eating away from home and energy gained from sugars and fats. However, how food intakes affect the obesity rate for vulnerable populations is unclear. In 2014, AIMs Public Health will publish a special issue on obesity and food focusing on vulnerable populations. Manuscripts investigated the relationship between obesity, food consumption, and food accessibility in children, low-income, minority or other vulnerable populations are encouraged to submit.
