Manuscript Topics

Globally, cancer is a major cause of mortality and constitutes a substantial healthcare burden. For some cancers, screening could reduce the incidence and mortality of malignant lesions via early diagnosis and treatment. However, population-based screening programs are not always successful, partly due to the low acceptability and uptake rates of these programs among the relatively hard-to-reach populations.

In this special issue of the journal, original studies and review articles are invited for publication. We welcome clinical or community-based interventional trials, observational studies, and epidemiological analysis which address strategies to enhance screening uptake among the hard-to-reach individuals. We are also interested in review articles that characterize these populations, which inspire how these hard-to-reach subjects could achieve screening uptake.
