Manuscript Topics

The primary research focus of the special issue is on space weather, particularly on the coupling and response of the magnetosphere-ionosphere dynamic system during solar storms. The special issue call for papers includes examining the dynamics, electrodynamics, and composition changes that affect the electron density in the ionosphere, a layer of electrically charged particles, that can distort and impede radio signals. Studies on geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) are also encouraged.

Contributions could be reviews or standard research papers. Submissions that focus on observations, modeling, and theoretical understanding are all encouraged.
