Manuscript Topics
The transition to a net-zero carbon environment is a global challenge that requires an integrated and multidisciplinary approach. This Special Issue explores strategies, technologies, and policies to reduce carbon emissions across key sectors such as energy, transportation, industry, agriculture, and land management.
Innovative technologies and digital solutions play a crucial role in enhancing energy efficiency, optimizing resources, and driving decarbonization. Tools such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), blockchain, and advanced monitoring platforms enable more effective strategies for energy management, emissions reduction, and circular economy.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
• Renewable energy integration and storage solutions
• Energy efficiency in industries, buildings, and urban systems
• Decarbonization strategies for transportation and mobility
• Circular economy approaches and sustainable resource management
• Nature-based solutions for carbon sequestration
• Climate policies, regulations, and market-based instruments
• Digital innovations for carbon footprint monitoring and reduction
• Smart grids, IoT, and AI-driven energy management
• Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies
• Behavioral and societal aspects of the net-zero transition
We welcome contributions that offer theoretical and applied perspectives on these topics, aiming to accelerate the transition toward a sustainable, resilient, and net-zero carbon future.
